In ARK Survival Evolved servers, you can customize their environment, gear, and even creatures using dyes. These dyes allow you to personalize a lot of things and even character appearances, making your in-game experience truly unique.
To create dyes, you need either a Cooking Pot or an Industrial Cooker. The base ingredients for all dyes include:
Water – A fully filled Waterskin, Water Jar, or Canteen.
Fuel – 2 units of Charcoal, or 1 unit of Gunpowder or Sparkpowder.
Berries – The type and quantity depend on the desired dye color.
Once all ingredients are placed into the Cooking Pot or Industrial Cooker, light the fire and wait for the dye to process. Each batch produces five units of dye.
Dyes can be applied to different surfaces and objects in various ways:
Armor, Weapons, and Saddles – Drag the dye onto the item in your inventory to open the coloring menu, where you can select specific parts to paint.
Structures – Use a Paintbrush or a Spray Painter loaded with dye. Equip the tool and apply the color to structures manually or with precision using the painting interface.
Creatures – Equip a Paintbrush with dye, approach the creature, and use the attack button to access the warpaint interface, allowing for detailed customization.
Tips for Efficient Dye Crafting
Using Thatch as fuel in the Cooking Pot prevents unwanted Charcoal from affecting the dye’s final color.
Always make sure that only the required ingredients are in the pot to avoid crafting the wrong dye.
Experiment with different berry combinations to discover unique shades.

I’m Mr.Brauwn, and I’ve been part of the Minecraft world for over 10 years. Like many others, I started playing with friends in the early versions, but soon I discovered that servers had enormous potential to create unique experiences. Servers and Projects Over time, I specialized in creating custom servers, developing private projects, events, and collaborations with content creators. Configuring plugins, designing systems, and shaping communities quickly became an essential part of my daily life. The Leap into Content Creation After so many years working on servers, I realized I could also share all that knowledge and those experiences visually. That’s how I started streaming on Twitch, showcasing my own servers and playing on them with the community. From Twitch to YouTube Later on, I understood that this content shouldn’t only remain in livestreams. I decided to launch my YouTube channel, where I share curiosities, tutorials, plugin reviews, updates, and technical aspects of Minecraft. It’s a space for other players and creators to discover the same potential I once found in this game. What Minecraft Means to Me For me, Minecraft is more than just a game. It’s a part of my daily life: recording, editing, testing mods, configuring plugins, building, and sharing with my community. After more than a decade, my goal remains the same: to create, inspire, and enjoy this infinite world alongside everyone who joins me on the adventure.
