Animal Well is characterized by its mystery, especially when it comes to its core gameplay elements such as fast travel. Initially, it may seem that there is no quick travel mechanism. Before unlocking a few initial levels, you don't even have a map, so how can you be sure that Billy Basso foresaw such a function? Do you have to backtrack constantly?
Fortunately, there is indeed a fast travel system in Animal Well. You need to find eight eggs to activate this system. These eggs are hidden in treasure chests scattered throughout the map. Thanks to your exploration spirit, achieving this goal won’t take too long. Overall, there are sixty-four eggs to find in the game. Once you have eight eggs, you need to return to the room to the left of the main hub, where a large peacock marked with a big egg on your map is located.
With eight eggs in your possession, you can open the door at the bottom left. Going through it, you will find a corridor leading to a room with a treasure chest on a platform. Jump onto it and open it to collect the Animal Flute. Use this item to awaken the chinchillas around you, and use them to reach the exit in the upper right corner of the map.
Entering this room, you will find an altar resembling a flute with a crow’s head. Jump in front of the altar and play the flute again. This will open the crow's mouth. Jump inside — it won't harm you, and you will find yourself in a new room in the lower left corner of the map. You are now in the main fast travel hub!
While traveling through the well, you will see animal heads marking different regions of the map. If you have already passed by them, they will automatically open. Otherwise, you will need to explore more to unlock all fast travel points. To activate the entry, simply play the Animal Flute near the altar in the room with the corresponding animal head.
Instant Travel Methods Using Musical Fast Travel
This is a convenient path, but is there really fast travel in Animal Well if you need to return to these heads? The game provides a solution to this problem.
In the center of fast travel, where the six animal heads are located, there is a ladder. Descending it, you will find yourself in a room with a fish emerging from the water. Observing the fish rise and turn, you will notice various sound effects that might indicate a melody. This melody can be played on the Animal Flute.
To learn the melody without hints, play the following notes on the Animal Flute: Right, Right, Left, Left, Down, Down, Up, Up.
If you played correctly, your character will immediately return to the main fast travel hub. This works anywhere on the map, significantly reducing return time. Use the markers on your map to remember where each animal head takes you and continue exploring the well.

Game Content Writer
I’m Mr.Brauwn, and I’ve been part of the Minecraft world for over 10 years. Like many others, I started playing with friends in the early versions, but soon I discovered that servers had enormous potential to create unique experiences. Servers and Projects Over time, I specialized in creating custom servers, developing private projects, events, and collaborations with content creators. Configuring plugins, designing systems, and shaping communities quickly became an essential part of my daily life. The Leap into Content Creation After so many years working on servers, I realized I could also share all that knowledge and those experiences visually. That’s how I started streaming on Twitch, showcasing my own servers and playing on them with the community. From Twitch to YouTube Later on, I understood that this content shouldn’t only remain in livestreams. I decided to launch my YouTube channel, where I share curiosities, tutorials, plugin reviews, updates, and technical aspects of Minecraft. It’s a space for other players and creators to discover the same potential I once found in this game. What Minecraft Means to Me For me, Minecraft is more than just a game. It’s a part of my daily life: recording, editing, testing mods, configuring plugins, building, and sharing with my community. After more than a decade, my goal remains the same: to create, inspire, and enjoy this infinite world alongside everyone who joins me on the adventure.
