Team Fortress 2 Players Want to Save Their Beloved Game
Among the numerous games on the Steam platform, Valve's Team Fortress 2 stands out for its enduring popularity despite being over 16 years old. However, many players express dissatisfaction due to bot issues that Valve has been slow to address. This discontent has led to a large-scale campaign aimed at drawing the developers' attention to the problem.
Since its release in October 2007, Team Fortress 2 has continually faced bot issues. In 2020, there were incidents where racist spam bots flooded the game's chat with inappropriate messages. By 2022, the bot problem had worsened, with bots taking over servers and using their AI capabilities to dominate players, making gameplay challenging for many TF2 enthusiasts. Valve, also known for its projects Steam and Half-Life, acknowledged the issue and announced efforts to resolve it. However, nearly two years later, bots continue to disrupt gameplay.
On June 3rd, a new initiative organized by fans began. Similar to previous efforts, players are trying to urge Valve into taking active measures to address the bot problem. The campaign, titled "Fix TF2," is collecting signatures from players, which will later be presented to Valve. Currently, over 210,000 signatures have been gathered, and the number is continually growing.
The campaign's website states that Team Fortress 2 is in an unacceptable state, and Valve's neglect in resolving this issue causes concern among players.
The goal of the campaign is to convince Valve to implement modern anti-cheat measures for TF2, which, despite its age, continues to generate revenue through microtransactions. Fans also want to establish ongoing communication with Valve regarding the state of the game and the bot problem.
To draw Valve's attention, the campaign's website urges fans to share their stories, screenshots, and videos of bots in TF2 on social media, as well as spread the word about the campaign site. Although the site does not directly call for negative reviews of TF2, players are expressing their dissatisfaction in this way, hoping to prompt Valve into action.
As of June 4, 2024, Valve has not officially responded to the campaign. The last message on TF2’s official Twitter account dates back to 2022, when Valve last addressed player complaints about bots. It remains to be seen whether a new tweet from TF2, which could be the first in nearly two years, will contain new promises to tackle the problem. Previous promises helped calm fans, so we will see what happens now. #FIXTF2

I’m Mr.Brauwn, and I’ve been part of the Minecraft world for over 10 years. Like many others, I started playing with friends in the early versions, but soon I discovered that servers had enormous potential to create unique experiences. Servers and Projects Over time, I specialized in creating custom servers, developing private projects, events, and collaborations with content creators. Configuring plugins, designing systems, and shaping communities quickly became an essential part of my daily life. The Leap into Content Creation After so many years working on servers, I realized I could also share all that knowledge and those experiences visually. That’s how I started streaming on Twitch, showcasing my own servers and playing on them with the community. From Twitch to YouTube Later on, I understood that this content shouldn’t only remain in livestreams. I decided to launch my YouTube channel, where I share curiosities, tutorials, plugin reviews, updates, and technical aspects of Minecraft. It’s a space for other players and creators to discover the same potential I once found in this game. What Minecraft Means to Me For me, Minecraft is more than just a game. It’s a part of my daily life: recording, editing, testing mods, configuring plugins, building, and sharing with my community. After more than a decade, my goal remains the same: to create, inspire, and enjoy this infinite world alongside everyone who joins me on the adventure.
